Aug 12 , 2011

From rooftop bars to vodka bars and piano bars, St. Louis has a bar to suit everyone. Take a tour around St. Louis bars and feel like you are taking trip around the world with beers from Belgium, vodka from Russia and cocktails straight from Manhattan.

Baileys Chocolate Bar

Why wouldn’t anyone love a bar that is based around chocolate and Baileys? Baileys Bar has a huge menu of drinks including their signature chocolate martinis, which come in as many as fifteen different concoctions, look out for things like Raspberry Chocolate Martini and the strong Mexican Chocolate Martini. For those that don’t have as much of a sweet tooth, Baileys bar can serve up ice cold wines, spirits, and a whole range of international beers, stouts and ciders.

International Tap House

With two locations in the city, this pair of bars in St. Louis are a top choice for beer loving visitors. International Tap House is known as having a bigger selection of beers available than any bar in St. Louis. Both bars boast a menu of over 500 ever changing beers, both on tap and in bottles. They stock beers from across the world and serve up rare and tasty beers like Indian pale ale and Belgian trapist beers which are brewed by monks.

Jive and Wail Piano Bar

This place is in a class of its own when it comes to St. Louis bars. This place is open until 3am from Wednesday to Saturday and entertains drinkers with Piano Duels, jams and solo sets. Don’t let the idea of classic piano music put you off though, Jive and Wail is as much about the wail as it is about the jive. The place gets packed at weekends and the crowd is wild, a very popular place for bachelorette parties.

Sub Zero Vodka Bar

You probably guessed that this place is all about the Vodka. It comes in shots, it comes in cocktails and it comes in more flavors than anyone could get through in one night alone. Sub Zero has a spectacular ice bar running through the centre of the main area with a vodka tower behind. A whopping 350 different types of vodka make up that tower. Expect vodkas from Russia, from Poland and from Iceland but don’t be surprised to also see shots from Mexico or New Zealand.  This is one of St. Louis’ bars that you might just forget – by the end of the night.

Three Sixty

There are a few rooftops bars in St. Louis but none with a view quite like the one at Three Sixty, which sits 400 feet above ground level, on the 25th floor of the Hilton St. Louis. The bar overlooks every base of the Busch Stadium and then some. Fire pits, sleek furniture, and giant flat screen TV’s create an exclusive vibe. After trying their signature Vertigo cocktail, you can soak up the alcohol with a bite to eat.
